I made this quilt quite some years ago and taught it as a class in my shop House of Patchwork. It was a very popular class and the students produced some truly stunning quilts. But, because I was so busy running the shop I never had time to make it up into a pattern. Some of my past students have nagged me periodically to do so and I have finally accomplished the task.
It was tricky to do because I only had my class notes plus of course the original quilt. But, with a little bit of brain stretching and knuckling down I managed to do so and I am very glad I did, because it is rather a lovely design.
It has lots of patchwork piecing.
And some simple appliqué flowers and hearts.
With a deeper border at the top to go over the pillows on the bed.
And some quirky prairie point inserts in the borders.
So, a fairly interesting quilt to make if you like a bit of variety. You will find it in my Pattern Shop and it has some very comprehensive instructions. 25 pages in total with clear diagrams and colour photos.
Phew! I am SEW GLAD that I now have this task ticked off my bucket list.
