New wall deco …..to inspire me

I decided it was time I added some more colour to one of the areas in my sewing room. The beauty of having white walls throughout the house is that it leaves plenty of scope to add colour.

I had already made the Love Cushion as you know, but yesterday I made another of my Lattice Strips cushions. You will find the tutorial here Lattice Strips Tutorial

Here is a close up of the quilting

And here is a photo of my wall deco….

I bought the large wooden scissors last year from, believe it or not, Marks and Spencer. I had planned on including a link for anyone interested in buying them, but unfortunately it looks like they don’t sell them any more. I guess that’s what comes of taking so long to actually get them up on the wall.

I still have plenty of scope (white walls) to add more colour, but it is a bit of a slow process with me. I expect I will move on to something else, until I look at that white space again and become inspired. All suggestions welcome.

In the meantime I have added this lattice strip cushion to the Bloggers Pillow Party at Stitched in Colour Do go take a look at the other pillows or even take part yourself.

Finally, I should also point out that the settee (or indeed the room), does not normally look as tidy as this. It is usually strewn with fabrics, or animals. (the cat or dog). But hey, we all spruce ourselves up a little bit for a photo session, don’t we!
