Christmas Projects
I made this Christmas Quilt in around 2005. The idea was inspired by a quilt by Sandy Gervais and I devised a way of organising a fabric swap for it during the classes that I taught as there were so many different fabrics needed. Each student then stacked up their fabrics and cut the shapes from each stack before rotating the fabrics to ensure each block contained differnt fabrics. It sounds compicated but it worked! Once again no measuring was involved. Just cut up and sew back together again. You will find the pattern by Sandy Gervais here Mine is not exactly the same but certainly very similar.
Quilt Size 45″ x 60″ (110 cms x 150 cms)
I designed this quilt for Christmas 2008 for my students here in Spain, although some of my old UK students made it too. All the blocks have been hand appliqued with blanket stitch, although some students chose to machine applique. My quilt shown is still waiting to be quilted.

I designed this wallhanging in around 2005 for a project for Fabrications magazine. Machine appliqued and machine quilted.

I designed this table runner in around 2005 for a class where I wanted to teach the stained glass applique technique. Machine appliqued. Mine is still unquilted!

The table runner is beautiful. Is there a pattern available for it?

Glad you like it. I designed the table runner some years ago and taught it as a class but have not written up a pattern for it. Maybe some time in the future if I find some spare time.
