Mini Quilt Monday

Log Cabin Mini Quilt

I was aware that I did not publish a ‘Mini Quilt Monday’ last month and noticed that this month was drawing to a close too, so here is my offering for May.

Log Cabin Mini Quilt

This would make a nice gift for a quilting friend maybe. It’s really quick and easy to make. Only 6 inches square.

You can view my tutorial here Mini Quilt Picture Tutorial

Did you notice the small flower in front of the quilt picture? I bet you can’t guess what it is.

Pomegranate blossom

It is a flower from the pomegranate tree in our orchard. They are a wonderful vibrant colour and truly stunning.

Our tree is large and the flowers are abundant.

Which means we will have a lovely crop of pomegranates in November.

Unfortunately, I am unable to share the pomegranates with you. But, I have enjoyed sharing the Mini Quilt Picture Tutorial. I hope you enjoy it.

Hi just had news that my new grand son arrived this morning and thought your mini quilt idea would make a great congratulation card. Very personal and maybe a lovely keepsake.
So thank you for jogging my memory about log cabin.

  3. Lesley,

Beautiful mini quilt – and I love the flowers…very pretty!

  4. Happy Birthday Christine! So sorry the weather hasn’t performed for your birthday, but hope you have a lovely day anyway. ‘Bad weather’ equals ‘Good Day to Sew’. Yay!

Love the mini quilt, already got my scraps out to make one. Happy quilting from a wet drizzly day in Wareham on my birthday!
