Quiltalong – Final Borders for Quilt

At last, it is time for the big reveal of the SewHappy Quiltalong. I do hope you like it.

Wow! It has been a bit of a marathon, hasn’t it! But at last we have finally reached the end.

I have added the final quilt borders and the pattern and instructions are now available for you to download Quiltalong Final Borders

I would like to say to you all thanks for taking part and sticking with it. I know it has been a fairly time consuming quilt, but hopefully you have enjoyed it and learned something new along the way.

I would love to see some photos of your finished quilts when you finally have them all together, so please do send them to me. Also, if you should have noticed any errors in any of the patterns, please do make me aware of it.

I have really enjoyed having you on board and am now working on many ideas for future projects for you, so please do keep stopping by to see what is going on.

OK off to your sewing machines now, you only have that last hurdle to cross.

Quiltalong Border and Christmas Projects

Just in case you Quiltalongers thought I had forgotten you. Never fear! My quilt border is all finished and I am now writing up the instructions for you. Want to see?

I know, it’s only a peak! I don’t want to give too much away before the big reveal, do I? Not long to wait now. All will be revealed on Saturday.

You will see that you have both piecing and appliqué to sew for your borders. You will also be pleased to know that after much thought and changing of mind on my part, I decided not to make it too difficult for you. So, you shouldn’t have too much work left to do. Hurrah!

And today I have gathered together my Christmas fabrics and am beginning to sew Christmas projects, which I will share with you soon.

And look at these wonderful fabrics ‘Bowood House’ by Robyn Pandolph that arrived recently from The Fat Quarter Shop.

I have an idea for a Christmas Quilt that I want to make with these. The design is already in my head. Oohhh, I need more time! Come on Lesley, back to the sewing machine!
